As each patient is different, the aim of the study is to enable each participant to identify and better understand the behavioral and environmental factors that have a major influence on their quality of life.
As part of the “Obesity and Quality of Life” study, more than 40 factors and types of data will be monitored on a daily or weekly basis, including: the level of physical activity, the stress experienced, the quality of sleep, the quality of sleep, the intensity and frequency of symptoms, the intensity and frequency of symptoms, the consumption of screens or the general quality of life of the patient.
At the start of the study, an initial assessment is carried out with the participating patient in order to define a reference score for his quality of life. During the 8 months of the study, the patient will have to share his factors of interest on a daily basis and complete a monthly assessment questionnaire, in order to allow the Outch medical team to monitor his evolution from day to day.
By correlating the patient's quality of life level and daily activity data over several months, the Outch application identifies the environmental and behavioral factors that are statistically most likely to impact the quality of life of obese patients. Longitudinal analysis makes it possible to highlight correlations that are often underestimated, or even completely unsuspected!
Through the Obesity and Quality of Life study, the application Ouch! provides patients with obesity with a digital health tool to guide them in their daily follow-up. In a few seconds a day, patients fill in their steps, the number of meals, the quantity and quality of ingredients, not to mention their hydration level, and more than 40 other key factors, which sometimes have unknown effects on overweight and obesity.
